It’s December 23. The day before Christmas Eve.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but there’s magic in the air.
But there’s also a wee bit of stress.
I call this season a cross between “the most wonderful time of the year” and “I think I’m going to have a nervous breakdown.”
On the positive side of things - Christmas is all about giving. And family. Cooking delicious food, decorating, and hosting gatherings. It’s about finding the perfect gifts to fill someone’s heart with glee.
BUT…
While Christmas does often bring joy, it also can stir up sadness, stress, and other unpleasant feelings that we try to keep under wraps while we ho-ho-ho our way through December.
FURTHERMORE…
All of the lovely things that take place in December happen while we live our lives - complete with bills, responsibilities, and everyday adulting that can’t be ignored.
In other words, we’re expected to go about our business AND be good little holiday elves.
You might even feel like the holidays bring on two versions of self: there’s EVERY DAY YOU and HOLIDAY YOU…
