Hello!
If you’re opening this at “press time” (Saturday, April 6), we’re just two days shy of a major event - Monday’s Total Solar Eclipse, which has been dubbed the Great North American Eclipse. People are all abuzz about the eclipse and the “path of totality” where it will be most visible.
My friends at NASA (and NBC News) tell me that 31.6 million people live within that path, and approximately 4 million people will travel to the path to see it, including yours truly—we’re headed south to get in on the action. Watch for a full report next week!
In the meantime, while I get ready for our trip, I keep having flashbacks from a previous eclipse in the 80s…
The year is 1980-ish.
I’m in third, maybe fourth grade. My hobbies include roller skating, bike riding, pretending to be one of Charlie’s Angels, and daydreaming. I like writing time in school but space out during math, science, and art.
