As I’ve told y’all before, I work almost entirely from home (or the road). While I do go into schools and businesses, most of my days are spent in my home office, where my only co-worker is my husband - who works from home a day or two a week. Even then, we’re pretty much in our own little worlds most of the day.

For the most part, I love the solitude and quiet working from home.

What I do miss, however, is catching up with friends at work. Those two minute convos about nothing in particular were actually everything. They led to laughs, solidified friendships, and let’s face it… helped us all get through the day.

So I guess the truth is, having daily contact with the outside world sometimes makes me feel a bit out of it.

To counteract this, I connect with friends at yoga, scour the internet, listen to podcasts, watch YouTubers, and follow Hoda & Jenna like it’s my job.

Basically, I try to keep my finger on the pulse so I can be in the know, kind of like Carl the Janitor from the Breakfast Club.

Like Carl, I’m always watching, always listening.

With that notion… let’s get to it!
