Hello!

Surprise!

While the Saturday Sidebar continues to summer in the Hamptons (I wish), I thought I’d pop in with a bonus newsletter for paid subscribers - because I want to thank you for your support. (And show you a little love.)

But enough with the pleasantries. Let me get to it.

One of the awesome things that happened while my husband and I were in Madrid last month is that we got to meet up IN REAL LIFE with one of my newsletter guests.

If you’re one of my better newsletter students, you’re probably guessing, “Was it that author/Hollywood director who retired in Spain?”

You guessed it! My husband and I met author Marsha Scarbrough (read her story here) for coffee in Madrid.

Remember Marsha?

It was awesome to chat IRL. I had so many questions for her about writing, life in Madrid, and travel throughout Spain. During our conversation, both my husband and I recapped the many things we’d already done while in Spain. During our conversation, I told Marsha that our trip had been absolutely awesome, but on that particular day we were a bit tired.

We were experiencing that vacation feeling that I think everyone gets - the point where as much as you love a place, you start to dream about your own bed and getting organized and back in a routine.

After I told Marsha this, she shared the best travel tip I’ve heard in a long time. It’s one that I think could change the way I plan every future trip….
