Welcome to "What I'd Rather Be Talking About" - the newsletter collection of all the thoughts that come to me when I'm living in the real world.

What You Need to Know about… What I’d Rather Be Talking About

Let’s start with a quiz.

Question: Would you rather spend 30 minutes talking about:

a. world events

b. the economy

c. your best friend’s recount of her Black Friday shopping haul, latest Netflix binge, and her secret to younger-looking skin

If you picked c, you’re my people.

With all due respect to world events and the economy, these fall under the “I’d rather poke my eyes out than discuss these things” category. Also in that category are policies, politics, the latest strain, and sports scores. (And yes, I GET that there is a time and place for these things. I’m just talking in an “If I were given a choice” sense. Please be easy on me.)

The problem is the real world is full of moments and topics we’d rather avoid. If you’re like me, you often find yourself in many conversations, meetings, and situations that you’d pay large amounts of money to get out of so you can talk with friends about… STUFF.

(As in the GOOD STUFF.)

What I’d Rather Be Talking About is all that good stuff. 

This is the newsletter where I ignore the heavy and share all the things I’d tell my best pals. 

I can’t wait to share…

• Fun products to improve your life - consider this the newsletter version of “As Seen on TV.”

• Career perspectives - as in, “Hey, don’t stay stuck… let’s discuss your escape plan.”

• Travel ideas - isn’t it time to hit the beach?

• Healthy tips - how to feel good inside and out, as reported by someone who likes wine and fries as much as she likes green smoothies.

• Wardrobe Overhaul - hate your closet? With a passion? Then you’ll like what I have to report.

• YouTube, podcasts, and Netflix - oh, my. Houston, I definitely have a problem… I’m addicted to consuming content. But, as I slowly go deaf and come in contact with way too much EMF, at least, in the end, I’ll be able to report that I shared good recs with all of you.

• Writing that moves me. Not Hallmark sappy stuff. And if you’re not in the mood, skip it. I’m talking about feel-good stories or pieces that can help us find a little inspiration.

• Spirituality, the afterlife, and our purpose- DEEP? Yes. INTENSE? Probably. A LITTLE BIT WOO? Definitely. It’s all coming.

• WHO KNOWS! I promise there will be surprises. (For you and me.)

Welcome to What I’d Rather Be Talking About - the place I share (wait for it…) the things I actually want to talk about.

In a nutshell, I’m looking to build a safe place to talk about nothing and everything.

Remember - I’m not looking to solve world problems or reveal the meaning of life.

I simply want to share the things that move me. And hopefully, move you as well.
