This one's all about podcasts, including one that JUST MIGHT CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
I am not even close to kidding.
Hola,
This week, I’m getting personal.
I’m talking about my phone.
If someone were to look at it, I promise it’d be an enlightening and (somewhat) horrifying experience.
You’d find:
A boatload of emails - Actually, an embarrassing number that I will reveal at the end of this newsletter. (One of the many perks of being a paid subscriber.)
71 texts and 125 voicemails - (Hoard much?) Someone once said to me, “OMG, you’ve got to delete those, or they will all just get deleted by Apple.” iPhone peeps - is this true?
Photos. Photos. Photos. (current count: 42,369) - Specifically, a crazy amount of food shots. Want to know what I’ve had for dinner the last ten years? (Hint: rhymes with falmon falad. 🥗)
So. Many. Apps. - Most never actually get used & can someone please tell me… why isn’t the pricing a little more transparent? You’d never know it by my app count, but I hate buying them because I never know up front how much they are until I press “buy.”
A notes section oozing with ideas. I only wish I could take my phone with me to the yoga studio, where I experience divine enlightenment, only to forget it by the time class is over.
And, oh, yeah, a cracked screen saver.I’ve been meaning to replace it with the new one in the drawer, just about one foot away from me now.
And… we’re just getting started. You’ll also find ALL THE PODCASTS.
Did I tell you my dream job is to be a podcast concierge?
Because of my great love for podcasts, I’m going to share part of my rotation. You may love or hate all of these podcasts, and you’re probably already familiar with them if you read my weekly newsletter.
Like or launch as you please; below are some of my favs.
AND.
I’m going to reveal one (*insert announcer voice*) JUST ONE podcast that you need to listen to (like today). It will help you regardless of age, goals, life situation, blood type, or salty vs. sweet snack preference.
I think it might be a game-changer, and it’s at the end of the list. (I learned this trick in newsletter school - to make you read to the very end.)
The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast - A lifestyle podcast featuring married couple Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick, who talk wellness, lifestyle, beauty, nutrition… you name it. My favorites are solo episodes with Lauryn. Episodes drop on Mondays and Thursdays.
Everything Happens with Kate Bowler - here you’ll find the stories of success and failure, suffering and happiness told by host & Duke Professor Kate Bowler. She’s a cancer survivor, speaker, and NYT bestselling author and a really great, relatable host. Episodes drop on Tuesdays.
Move With Heart - Host Melissa Wood-Tepperberg talks about mindfulness and spirituality, nutrition, fitness, motherhood, fashion, and more. (Sidenote: I actually cringe every time I write, and more, but I haven’t come up with a better option.) Episodes drop on Wednesdays.
Dear Alice: A Lifestyle Approach to Interior Design - I listen to this podcast because I feel like the three hosts - Jessica, Suzanne, and Corey - are my pals. They talk about trends in interior design, offer useful tips, and share cool insider info. Episodes drop on Thursdays.
The Sakara Life Podcast - This is a new one in my rotation. Hosts Whitney and Danielle are on a mission to “Nourish your body and transform your life.” Sakara is the Sanskrit word that describes the action of turning your thoughts into things and manifesting your reality. Yes to all of it. Episodes drop on Thursdays.
#6 Leads me to WHAT I’D RATHER BE SHOUTING ABOUT in this week’s Saturday Sidebar.
OMG, if you listen to no other podcasts in your life - PLEASE listen to the one podcast episode I’m about to share.
Ready?
