This Week I'm Talking to a Founder Making a (Serious) Mark in the Wellness Space
Let's meet Kristie Hall of True Grace!
Welcome to another exciting edition of Who I'd Rather Be Talking About, where I introduce you to fascinating individuals from around the globe. Some of my guests are people I've met in person, while others I've discovered through the wonders of the internet.
I met today’s guest in my morning workout class after telling another classmate about ElectroMag- a delicious electrolyte drink I bought from the studio. I was quickly informed that the delicious beverage came from someone in class - Kristie Hall. ElectroMag is just one of the many supplements produced by True Grace - a Pewaukee, WI-based company that Kristie and her husband Brian started in early 2020.
I think you’ll find the story behind the brand and the company’s mission heartwarming and vital as we all try to live our healthiest lives while protecting the planet.
Without further adieu, let’s talk to Kristie.
My journey in the health and wellness industry has been the driving force behind the creation of True Grace. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand what works—and what doesn’t—when empowering people to live healthier lives. I founded True Grace because I saw an opportunity to create something different: a line of vitamins that are clean, scientifically backed, and crafted with integrity and care for the planet.
I was drawn to the wellness industry because of an early life experience. While preparing to graduate from college, I received a life-changing call: my dad had stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer and only six months to live. Despite being strong and fit at 50, his diagnosis led me to deeply understand wellness, strength, faith, and the value of time.
My dad's cancer journey showed me firsthand how diet and supplementation could drastically improve quality of life, even during chemo and radiation. This experience inspired me not only to make meaningful changes in my own life but also to pursue a career in an industry dedicated to wellness and prevention. I’ve always believed that trust is the cornerstone of any health product, and that belief has shaped every decision we make at True Grace.
From the very beginning, I wanted to prioritize transparency and quality. That’s why we’ve built strong partnerships with local Wisconsin farms, helping them transition to Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC) practices. This commitment ensures that our ingredients are the best they can be while supporting farming practices that nourish the earth.
True Grace is more than a business to me—it reflects my passion for wellness and sustainability. It’s about creating products that not only improve personal health but also make a positive impact on the world. Every day, I’m inspired by the opportunity to share this vision and build a brand in which people can truly believe.
The mission of True Grace is to empower individuals to live healthier, more vibrant lives while fostering a deeper connection to the planet. We are dedicated to crafting high-quality, science-backed vitamins and supplements that prioritize transparency, sustainability, and care. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to regenerative agriculture, which ensures the purity and potency of our ingredients and nurtures the earth's health for generations to come.
True Grace believes in creating products that are as good for the planet as they are for people. Through partnerships with local Wisconsin farms and a focus on transitioning land to Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC) status, we aim to make a tangible impact on the environment and local communities. Our mission goes beyond wellness—it’s about building trust, inspiring positive change, and contributing to a healthier, more sustainable future for all.
I have always believed in signs, and my Dad has sent me many signs over the years to have the faith and confidence to start a mission-driven brand
Starting True Grace in March 2020 was a bit scary for us. We had both left our jobs, had two little kids at home, and had no way of knowing what the future held. The silver lining was that we were forced to slow down, take our time, and develop a carefully thought-out plan rooted in our mission and vision.
Supply chain challenges delayed the launch of our first products until October 2021—just three years ago—but that extra time allowed us to lay a strong foundation for everything True Grace stands for today. Since then, our products have been distributed nationwide in health food stores and online, and we now have over 40 SKUs!
The most rewarding part of creating a company like True Grace is knowing that we are making a tangible difference in the lives of so many people, all while supporting the health of our planet. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see how our products help individuals live better and healthier lives and know that we contribute to something larger than ourselves. One of my favorite morning rituals is reading customer reviews on Amazon or our website.
The stories we hear—from people feeling more energized to those who’ve found relief and improved wellness—are truly inspiring. It’s powerful to see the real impact we’re making, not just on individual health but also through our commitment to regenerative practices that benefit the environment.
Those moments when I read a review or hear a customer’s story are when I feel the full weight of what we’re doing and why we started True Grace in the first place. Every piece of feedback reinforces the purpose behind our mission and keeps us moving forward.
We use True Grace to educate others about wellness, health, and preserving the planet by leveraging our website as a valuable resource. Through it, we provide information not only about True Grace's products but also about crucial environmental topics, such as ocean health, plastic pollution, soil health, and regenerative agriculture. We believe in empowering our customers with knowledge so they can make informed choices about their health and the planet’s well-being.
In addition, we have a dedicated team that works tirelessly to train consumers and retailers nationwide. They share insights on wellness, the importance of sustainable practices, and how regenerative agriculture can transform how we nourish our bodies and our environment. This two-pronged approach—educating online and through in-person training—allows us to reach people from all walks of life and inspire lasting, positive change.
We will continue to grow our presence in stores nationwide and possibly go international in the next few years. In addition, we have an innovative and exciting pipeline of new products we plan to launch.
My advice for someone looking to make positive changes for their health is to remember that simply eating "healthy" isn't always enough, especially in today’s world. The old adage, “I eat healthy, so I don’t need supplements,” no longer holds true. Due to conventional farming practices, our food is far less nutrient-dense than it was 50 years ago, which is why supplementation has become essential.
I recommend starting with a solid foundation—think of a good multivitamin, probiotic, and omega-3 supplement. From there, you can build based on your unique health needs.
Exercise is equally important. Moving your body—whether it's through walks, yoga, running, or any other form of movement—helps maintain overall health and well-being.
I also believe in the power of sunlight and fresh air. These simple, natural elements can profoundly impact mental and physical health, so I encourage everyone to get outside and soak up some sunshine when they can.
The key is balance - nourishing your body with quality nutrition, proper supplements, regular exercise, and the healing benefits of nature.
I must work out five days a week, get fresh air every day, feel the sun on my face as much as the Wisconsin weather allows me, sit in my infrared sauna at least three days a week, buy only organic meat and produce for myself and my kids, and take all the supplements that I love every day.
Regarding future wellness trends, the hydration category is exploding, and many cool studies are coming out on certain probiotic strains.
