What I'd Rather Be Talking About

When it comes to wellness... it's personal.

The trick is finding what works for you and sticking with it.

Not sure if you noticed, but I’m kind of into wellness.

I love finding podcasters and YouTubers who talk about wellness - and also love hearing what people I know are doing to feel and look their best.

And, as I’m sure you’ve noticed… there’s A TON of wellness info out there. Some of it comes from legit sources, some from people who think they’re legit sources, and some of it… is just no bueno.

So, whenever I hear about a new wellness practice, recipe, or supplement, I consider, “Is it safe to follow this advice? Is this person for real? Will this be good for me?”

My first check is to ask myself, “What would my dad (who was an internist) say about this if he were here?”

If I hear him saying his favorite response, “That’s horsesh*t…”

I usually try to investigate said practice or product further.

You see, my dad was old school to a tee - he (and my mom) believed in real food, three square meals a day, and weren’t afraid of a cocktail or two. But moderation was the key.

Bottom line, they both thought some of the practices I introduced to them were loco.

And, hey… he lived to be 94, so I have to think he knew what he was talking about.

(Shown below is a lesson in balance… raw veggies and a martini.)

With “balance” in mind, I’m sharing the practices that help me feel my best.
