Loved your Mom’s advice! My Netflix recommendation is one in Spanish called, “Daughter from Another Mother”. I started watching to keep the Castilian Spanish in my brain. The story can be tedious in parts, but it’s interesting enough to serve the dual purpose of something that is an escape and keeps the Spanish in my ears. Apparently it’s a spin-off from a Spanish movie.

Thank you, Lorraine! :) And... I am writing that show down. Thanks so much - I need to keep Castilian Spanish in my cerebro too! Can't wait to watch. :)

Gracias, Amiga.

Did you spot the dancing cat poolside during the trumpet solo? You're welcome for a reason to watch again. Thanks for another great episode of "What I'd Rather Be Talking About"!

OMG. The cat. I hadn't noticed it, but of course I just watched it 12 more times and it cracked me up each time. Thanks for pointing it out!

Hi Abbey!

Having grown up along with your older sisters and spending many hours at their home on Prospect Ave., I enjoyed hearing your mother’s advice to you. Although I never received any from her, I know I could have gone to her for some good advice if I had asked for it. She was a gracious lady. I sure miss your parents and that generation.

If you’re looking for something to watch, I am really enjoying the Extraordinary Attorney Woo on Netflix and we just finished Good Omens on Amazon. It was quirky and imaginative.

All My Best,

Joan (Reed) Scheu

Thank you for your lovely comments, Joan! Our parents were definitely the Greatest Generation - so much good advice & they were all such great examples for us. (btw, when I think of my mom's bridge club, I can almost hear your mom's awesome laugh. :) ) Thanks for the Netflix and Amazon recs - I'm writing them down and will check them out!

Take care & thanks for reading!

Abbey
