Buenos Dias,

Welcome to this week’s edition of What I’d Rather Be Talking About - the newsletter I created to I share all the things I’d rather be talking about…other than the business of the day. Which I’ll tell you what, having that for a guideline sure takes the heat off and provides a nice little escape from the crazy. (For the reader and the writer. 😉)

Now, usually I’ll start this newsletter with a story or some inspirational thought I had during the week. And nine times out of ten, that story or thought will be the basis for the links and tips I’m sharing.

(I call this working a theme.)

But this week, I’m going to simply share all the things that caught my attention. You know, the stuff I’d whisper to you if we were sitting next to each other in a meeting. I’m that kind of pal.

(I call this going back to the roots of the newsletter.)

But before I do that, I’m doing something a bit different.

I want to know what’s on your mind.

What do you want to hear more about?

The poll below ⬇️ will probably take about three seconds. Can you do this writer a solid 🙏 and tell me what you’d like to see in future issues? 🤓

Are you looking for something that’s not in the poll?

Or do you have something specific you want me to investigate?

Cool!

BRING IT ALL ON!

Thank you for your feedback!

For now, sit back, put your phone on DND, and scroll away.

get your cinco de mayo on… the healthy way

Cinco de Mayo is around the corner, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate without ditching your wellness routine. For healthy tortilla chips, salsas, and other Mexican products, check out Siete Family Foods. They’ve got a ton of recipes for Cinco de Mayo and so many great products, even healthy sweet treats. Or, make a dessert like this “nice cream” that comes with a 🇲🇽 kick, and is as healthy as the day is long. And no, I didn’t forget the star of the show - margaritas & bevs, such as this healthy-rita recipe, these sugar-free cocktails, and let’s not forget these mocktails.

physical wellness

Next, I’m not going to tell you to take shrooms daily, but Dr Josh Axe is, in “7 Mushrooms You Should Be Taking Daily.”

Speaking of being healthy, we know we should all hydrate. Here are Six Water Bottles that Will Make You Want to Drink More Water.

Instagram recently convinced me that RMDY Daily Digestibles will change my life. (Or at least improve my gut health.) If your ears perked up, you’re my people. I’ll let you know how they work.

Let’s see… Shrooms ✔, hydration ✔, probiotics ✔, now… to get more sleep. Did you know the secret to amazing sleep is literally outside your door? (And I’m not saying it’s in an Amazon package - it’s something you can’t buy.)

emotional wellness

In addition to nourishing our bodies, we’ve got to feel good mentally, too. Maybe these Buddhist lessons will help you build inner strength and peace. Also, I always find great strategies to deal with our crazy🌎 in Wellbeing Wednesday by Hollie Bailie. And, this Message from The Universe seems like a good one to share:

keeping house

Now that our bathroom remodel project is almost complete, we’re in the process of putting our house back together… and cleaning. As we put things back and reorganize closets, I’m trying to get rid of the stuff I’m not using and I’m using this method to prevent repeating the cycle of pitch-buy-pitch. Apartment Therapy is a great resource for all things house; I especially love this organization tip that costs ZERO dollars, is a link to the past, and looks pretty damn cool.

And speaking of house organization & decor, I gasped when I saw these 80s decorating trends were back. Thoughts?
